The 2013 Ford C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid was certified by the EPA at a range of 620 miles, beating its chief rival, the 2013 Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid. The EPA certified the Prius plug-in hybrid at 540 miles of total range. The C-Max Energi also beats the Chevrolet Volt, which the EPA certifies at 380 miles of total range. . . Ford said in a statement on Tuesday that the C-Max Energi would deliver up to 21 miles in all-electric mode.
